William Krantz, CFA | William L. Krantz, CFA, assumed his position as Co-Director on September 1, 2007. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he was involved in the CFA Review Program from 1987 through 2004. He has taught the portfolio management curriculum at all three levels and was a Level III co-coordinator for twelve years. Bill has been an active member of CFALA since 1970, serving as president in 1985-86. He was honored with the "Member of the Year" award in 1996 and the "Outstanding Lifetime Contribution" award in 2005. From 1969 through 2005 Bill worked for four investment advisory firms in downtown Los Angeles as a portfolio manager for individuals, institutions, foundations and endowment funds. His responsibilities included the management of client portfolios along with related client service and marketing activities. The last eleven years of his career were spent with Boston Partners Asset Management, a partnership he helped establish in 1995 after leaving The Boston Company. He holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California and received the CFA designation in 1976. Back To Top ^^


Sydney Foresythe, CFA | Sydney Foresythe is a manager with the Economic and Valuation Services practice of KPMG with over seven years of experience in industry. Prior to coming to KPMG Sydney was an associate at Stout Risius Ross, focusing on transaction opinions and valuation services. Additionally, Sydney has worked as an equity research associate at MacNicol and Associate Asset Management and Royal Bank of Canada where he conducted macroeconomic research on various industries. He received his MSc. in Finance from Santa Clara University in 2015, and his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2017. Back To Top ^^

Eileen Neill, CFA | For more than twenty years, Ms. Neill has provided a broad range of consulting services to a variety of institutional plan sponsors with respect to the successful development and implementation of their investment programs, including risk management, strategic asset allocation, manager structure analysis, investment policy development, manager selection, and the ongoing education of their fiduciaries. Ms. Neill joined Verus in 2017 from Wilshire Associates, where she served as a senior investment consultant for 29 years. Ms. Neill has consulted to plan sponsors of varying sizes and complexity whose assets ranged from $100 million to $150 billion, a collection that included public institutions, corporate defined contribution and defined benefit plans, endowments and foundations, healthcare organizations, and insurance companies. Ms. Neill currently services several Verus clients, all public funds including five state-level funds.

Ms. Neill has served as a guest speaker at industry conferences on a wide range of investment topics, such as ESG investing, emerging manager programs, credit strategies, currency management, investment strategy implementation, performance-based fees, portable alpha, and others. She earned a bachelor of science degree (BS) in business administration from the University of Arizona, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in finance in from Chapman University. She is a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles. Ms. Neill currently serves as an advisory council member for the Women in Institutional Investments Network, as well as an investment committee member for the Chadwick School Endowment Fund, and is on the Board for WAVE (Women’s Association of Venture and Equity). Ms. Neill is also a member of the CFALA ESG Member Community and is mentor for the CFALA Career Mentorship Program. Before entering the investment consulting industry, she was a corporate financial analyst at a Fortune 100 company. She also sits on Verus’ alternative investments committee. Back To Top ^^
