Amy Born, CFA | Amy Born is a Senior Wealth Advisor. She is responsible for delivering customized, holistic financial planning advice to Boston Private Wealth high-net-worth clients.
Amy has over 20 financial industry experience. Prior to joining Boston Private Wealth, Amy was a financial planner with Acacia Wealth Advisors – HighTower in Beverly Hills, Stone Carlie Wealth Advisors in St. Louis and Ernst & Young’s Personal Financial Counseling practice in both St. Louis and Los Angeles.
Amy is an active member of Financial Planning Association Los Angeles chapter where she currently serves on the pro bono committee. She frequently volunteers her time providing financial advice to low income families in the Los Angeles area. She also received the 2018 Pro Bono Award by Financial Planning magazine and Foundation for Financial Planning for her work with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
Amy is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Financial Services. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designations. Back To Top ^^
Susan Elkinawy, PhD, CFA | Susan Elkinawy is a finance professor with a focus on international and corporate finance. Prior to joining LMU's College of Business Administration faculty in 2003, she taught at the University of Oregon and worked for The Capital Group Companies, Inc. and Executive Life Insurance Company. She was awarded the 2003 Roger Best/Donald Watson Teaching Award from the University of Oregon. She is an ad hoc reviewer for several journals and is a CFA charterholder. Back To Top ^^
Eileen Neill, CFA | For more than twenty years, Ms. Neill has provided a broad range of consulting services to a variety of institutional plan sponsors with respect to the successful development and implementation of their investment programs, including risk management, strategic asset allocation, manager structure analysis, investment policy development, manager selection, and the ongoing education of their fiduciaries.
Ms. Neill joined Verus in 2017 from Wilshire Associates, where she served as a senior investment consultant. At Wilshire, Ms. Neill consulted to plan sponsors of varying sizes and complexity whose assets ranged from $100 million to $150 billion, a collection that included public institutions, corporate defined contribution and defined benefit plans, endowments and foundations, healthcare organizations, and insurance companies.
Ms. Neill has served as a guest speaker at industry conferences on a wide range of investment topics, such as ESG investing, emerging manager programs, credit strategies, currency management, investment strategy implementation, performancebased fees, portable alpha, and many others.
She earned a bachelor of science degree (BS) in business administration from the University of Arizona, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in finance in from Chapman University. She is a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst) and is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles. Ms. Neill currently serves as an advisory council member for the Women in Institutional Investments Network, as well as an investment committee member for the Chadwick School Endowment Fund, and is on the Board of WAVE (Women’s Association of Venture and Equity). Ms. Neill is also a member of the CFALA ESG Member Community and is mentor for the CFALA Career Mentorship Program. Before entering the investment consulting industry, she was a corporate financial analyst at a Fortune 100 company. She also sits on Verus’ alternative investments committee. Back To Top ^^
