Fall 2010 USC/CFALA CFA Review Program

USC/CFALA CFA® Review Program

CFA Society of Los Angeles, in partnership with the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, offers CFA® Review Programs for each level of the CFA® Study and Examination Program.  The Review Program provides candidates with a structured, classroom based approach to preparing for the exam. It is designed to assist candidates in mastering the Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and all of the disciplines on the CFA examination are covered. The focus is on the comprehension of the assigned materials in the Study Guides with an emphasis on the Learning Outcome Statements (LOS).  While live instruction is the cornerstone of our program, candidates are provided with access to recorded instruction, accessible through the internet and supplemental study materials. Candidates enrolled in our program receive the following benefits:

Mentor Match
Each Level I candidate enrolled in the Review Program may elect to be paired with a local CFA Charterholder. The Charterholder will provide guidance and support through the exam preparation period.

Candidate Connection
Candidate Connection introduces candidates to the benefits of Society membership. Those enrolled in the Review Program will be given access to the CFA Society of Los Angeles job listings and will be able to attend Society events at member rates (excluding the Annual Meeting) for the period in which they are enrolled in the course. (August - December for Fall candidates/January - June for Spring candidates).

Full-length Practice Exam
As a tool to assist candidates in assessing their strength and weaknesses, one Saturday session of the course is dedicated a practice exam. Each candidate will receive an exam to take during the full-day session structured as a mock exam setting. At the close of the session all candidates receive the answer key for self-grading and assessment.  This practice exam is purchased from the Boston Society of Security Analysts.
